Vancouver wedding planners Fortune Events recently coordinated a special photo shoot with Green Pomme Photography to present their vision of a wedding day that blends Chinese tradition with classic Western style.
They selected the District 319 theatre, located in the heart of Vancouver’s Chinatown, as the perfect backdrop for this passionate marriage between 1940s Western fashion and traditional Chinese dress. In these vignettes, a Coromandel screen in the background adds to the atmosphere, while the exposed brick and bold reds add character. The deep, dramatic hues here are complemented by delicate details in the stylized Asian-inspired cuisine, golden bowls, jewellery, tea sets, hanging lanterns and golden hanzi script.
